This archive contains the ESRI ArcGIS 9.3.1 MXD map documents and GIS data used in the Lower Duwamish Waterway Remedial Investigation Report: Final, Map Folio. The RI GIS data consists of two personal geodatabases (Microsoft Access 2003 format) named "RI GIS BASELAYERS JULY2010.mdb" and "RI GIS DATA JULY2010.mdb". There is an additional directory labeled "Grids" which contains the raster information for the PCB, arsenic, and cPAH IDWs in ESRI Grid format.

The RI GIS BASELAYERS geodatabase contains reference and foundation feature classes that appear in many of the maps. Other related feature classes are also included in this geodatabase.

The RI GIS DATA geodatabase contains chemistry tables (to be plotted as event themes), feature classes derived from chemistry information (such as Thiessen polygons), and other derived or obtained feature classes.

Orthophotographs and the full King County parcel data layer are not included in this archive because of their prohibitive size.

The MXDs are organized into section and appendix subdirectories and are set to use relative path names to the RI GIS BASELAYERS and RI GIS DATA geodatabases if the "MXDs" directory is placed in the same directory as the "GDBs" and "Grids" directories. That is, if unzipped correctly each map document should automatically reference the associated data layers automatically. If for some reason this does not occur the data layers for all of the MXDs will be found in one of those two geodatabases and can be manually connected.
